Conditions of Sale of Horses for Sale at Witcham House Farm:
The sale & open day is not an auction.
2) Horses will be secured by a deposit of 10% on the sale day with the purchase to be completed within 2 weeks.
3) The deposit is only returnable should a horse not receive a satisfactory vetting.
4) Deposits may be paid by cash or cheque with the balances being paid via bank transfer.
5) Following purchase, horses must leave the stud within 3 days of completion or livery will be charged.
6) Arrangements can be made for horses to remain at Witcham House Farm, for example, for castration, further schooling and or livery. Any additional costs will be charged.
7) The first buyer to pay a deposit for a horse will secure the purchase of that horse, any further buyers will be held, in order, on a waiting list.
8) The stables are open for viewing of foals, youngstock, mares and stallions from 10:00. Ridden horses may be tried in the afternoon by appointment.
9) If you are interested in buying any of the horses presented on the day, please meet with Katy Holder-Vale between 13:30 & 14:00 to register your interest.
10) Foals will remain at Witcham House Farm Stud with no charge for livery, until weaning. Direct costs for worming, farrier and any vets charges will be charged directly to the purchaser. First registration of the foal will be paid by the vendor.
11) Mares purchased at the sale will also remain at the stud with no charge for livery until weaning. Direct costs for worming, farrier and any vets charges will be charged directly to the purchaser.
12) Please ensure that you understand whether a mare is sold in foal or without her foal.
